Kathryn Gorman Ponds Park:
Montebello, NY

Serene is the word I’d choose with which to describe the Kathryn Gorman Ponds Park. It is beautifully landscaped and meticulously kept up. It is a quiet park with paths surrounding the ponds. There are benches scattered throughout and a large pleasant gazebo under which to sit. When we visited, we saw some turtles sunning in the water and deer in the wooded areas that surround the park. This is not a park I’d suggest for children. It is a park that focuses just on nature, and has no playground.

The parking lot is across from Oxford Drive with a walking entrance right nearby. I love the quiet and the beauty which helps you get into a relaxed frame of mind.
