Children’s Park is a great local park in Chestnut Ridge, NY. It is appropriate for all ages and has a playground, ball field, tennis courts, handball courts and basketball courts. There are many benches and some picnic tables scattered around. The lake, prominently located near the ball fields also has a roofed in picnic area with additional tables. There is an additional roofed in picnic area adjacent to the playground.
The walking paths are spread through the park. They are popular with the locals for both walking and biking. The path runs through the woods and part of the paths run alongside the Pascack Brook, a wide babbling brook, which is my favorite part of the park.
Children’s park is a great balance between a nature park, sports area and playground area.
