Kingsland Point Park:
Sleepy Hollow, NY

The Sleepy Hollow Lighthouse is what attracted me to the park. Once I got there, I was pleasantly surprised. In addition to the lighthouse, which is only open about every two Sundays in the spring and summer, there is an 18 acre park on the shore of the scenic Hudson River.

The park boasts lots and lots of picnic tables including some under a gazebo. There are also grill stands scattered throughout. The grass fields are great for ball games. There is a cute little playground for your smaller ones as well as a path along the river with magnificent views. The park is a great place for a family get together or picnic, as it can accommodate lots of people with the many picnic tables and space to spread out.
