Laurelwood Arboretum:
Wayne, NJ

I wouldn’t describe Laurelwood Arboretum as a botanical garden but as a 30-acre botanically diverse lovely property. Laurelwood does not have all that many blooming flowers during the summer, but the gravel paths winding through the arboretum and the strategically placed benches throughout make it a beautiful place to stroll around or just to sit and relax. The gardens feature woodland trails, two ponds, streams as well as some unusual species of plants and trees. Throughout our visit we kept crossing paths with cute little chipmunks.
