11The SkyWheel located on the Boardwalk in Myrtle Beach is just a hop and skip away from loads of attractions. The wheel is an icon on the Myrtle Beach Skyline is closely associated with the fun yet laid back town. The 8-10 minute ride on one of the 42 climate controlled gondolas is comfortable and relaxing. Visitors see magnificent views both of the ocean and the city on the 20 story high wheel. We visited on a rainy day and even so we were able to see miles down the beach and miles out.  The view of the beach stretches to as far as the eye can see. The Wheel is just a couple of blocks from Pier 14 and the pier adds a nice view. A visit to the Skywheel can be combined with any of the numerous attractions at the Boardwalk or just with a walk alongside the ocean.
