Underwater Observatory Marine Park:
Eilat

It is hard to believe that the colorful fish and coral that you see from the tower windows are out in the wild and not behind an aquarium glass. The Underwater Observatory Tower, located in Marine Park in Eilat, is located out in the Red Sea with a 100 meter bridge connecting it to land. The Observatory goes down to a depth of 12 meters below the water surface and has a total of 20 windows all around with 360 degree views of the  sea at a depth of 6 meters. The reef in Eilat is one of a kind and the species seen below are amazing to behold.

In addition to the Underwater Observatory, there are displays of various fish and water creatures. There are public feedings with divers entering some of the tanks, including the shark tank, to feed the animals. The divers wear special microphones to communicate with the audience.

The Oceanarium, is a simulated film where visitors take part in a journey in the depths of the sea. The Coral 2000 is a boat with glass windows below sea level where visitors can view the coral reef from the boat. The boat leaves at very specific times and fills up quickly. We were unable to go on the Coral 2000 but we went on a boat with glass windows with a company that specializes in those tours. The Coral 2000 is definitely a lot cheaper, though.
